I’ve walked past this spot at least twice a week for the last ten years, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen these bushes in full bloom. It never ceases to amaze me what I notice when I’m really paying attention instead of wandering around with my mind on a million other things. :)

That takes care of Mellow Yellow Monday. :) And now a couple of macro shots for Macro Monday…

The tulips that were waiting to burst open last week are now in full bloom!

I’m overloaded with writing projects this week, so I’m multi-tasking on the memes this morning just in case I don’t get a chance to post anything tomorrow. :)

A Taste of What’s To Come

I’m starting to feel the coming of spring. I could swear when I was out walking on the weekend, I could smell spring in the air. (Even though as I say this the weather channel is telling me to get ready for more snow!)

These shots are from last summer, but I just felt the need for some greenery today to celebrate the new season that I know is just around the corner!

My Surprise Gift

I’ve been moaning rather repeatedly around the house about not having gotten any Olympic memorabilia this year, and with the start of the games just around the corner almost everything is sold out. What I really wanted was a pair of red mittens but I think that boat has sailed long ago. So anyways, to make a long story short, my son went out to get snacks late Saturday night, and came back with this surprise gift for me.

So now I not only have my little piece of Olympic memorabilia, I also have something nice and colourful to share for Mellow Yellow Monday, Ruby Tuesday, and the Color Carnival.
