Going With the Flow

Jackson Creek

Jackson Creek

Jackson Creek

One of my goals this year is to live more in the flow instead of trying to structure every minute of every day. I’m very thankful that I have lots of flowing water around to keep me inspired and motivated.

Happy Wednesday! Don’t forget to check out all the great photography memes that take place today… I can guarantee you’ll see at least one picture (and probably many more) that will take your breath away.

That is a perfect image for “go with the flow”. When my kids were young they would go with the flow on inner tubes on a creek behind the house. Like this one it was thick with willows on either side but except in early spring had much less water.

Thanks Martha. :) Going down the creek on an inner tube sounds like loads of fun. We had inner tubes when I was a kid, but on Lake Erie we didn’t get to do much with them except be towed around by the adults so we didn’t drift out too far. :)

Lena, I understand that thought exactly. I had to do some of that at Christmas, and it wasn’t so bad. It was that or pull my hair out. Now, I’m thinking that if things are quite perfection, it might not be the end of the world. ;-) We had fun, but things that would have sent me wild in my youth, I have learned to shrug off. I guess that’s going with the flow!

    Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

Hi Sheila! It’s amazing isn’t it, how much easier life can be when we accept that things don’t always have to be perfect. Definitely easier on the blood pressure. :)

    “things aren’t quite perfection”

See to prove my point… I made a typo so I’m definitely not perfect! ;-)

I also love the water. I live close to it in the Stockholm arcapelago and I find a special calm inside when being close to the water.

Hi Marie! I know that feeling well. I get really antsy if too many days go by and I can’t get down to the river or the lake just to sit and be quiet for awhile.

Flowing water is good in feng shui, that’s what I always hear. May your joys and happiness overflow this year!

    Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

That’s good to know! I have a little desktop fountain that I packed away when I reorganized my office. Maybe I should get it out and start it up again. :)

Beautiful. Going with the flow is fine as long as direction of flow is right.
