First Snowfall

The sun is shining for the first time in days, and there’s snow on the ground. Fresh snow is one of those things that I can’t help smiling about, so I just had to head out to snap a few pictures this morning.
Have an awesome day! Keep smilin’ :)

Nice shots, Lena. I do think a tad of photoshop is a good thing when used to overcome the camera’s inadequacies (can’t always see as well as our eyes), so as to look more like the naturally seen scene, but the super-saturated and oversharpened stuff truly is a turnoff to me, too.
Thanks Sara!
Great shots! Looks so cold though.
Thanks! It actually wasn’t too bad. It had already started melting even as I was out shooting in it. :)
Great capture!
Thanks Maria!
You are special; you’re the first to say that fresh snow is one of those things that you can’t help smiling about. Some people even dislike it and some complain it is too cold. :)
Thank you! That’s so sweet to say. :) I guess it’s the little girl in me that still sees the innocence and cleanness of fresh snow and that’s what makes me smile. Although, as an adult I have to admit I’ve done my fair share of complaining about it too when I have to drive in it. :)
Lovely shot – I love to photograph snow – looks really cold.
Thanks Randi!
Beautiful white snow! Lovely sight not often seen here in so. California…except in the mountains. Nice captures!
Thanks Carolyn! Unfortunately it doesn’t stay white for long, but I couldn’t imagine living without it. :)
Hi Lena,
Thanks for visiting.
Which part of Ontario are you? I was studying in Windsor 1975-78. It was also the first place I saw snow. The first fall, was just a few pellets, and I thought some one had fertilised the trees with little white pellets.
Then that winter, it went down to 28 degrees, a record low.
Hi Ann,
You’re welcome. Thanks for returning the favor. :)
I’m in central Ontario now, but I grew up in the Windsor area.
